“Better than Stinger”: London is going to transfer modern air defense systems to Kyiv
Great Britain intends to supply new air defense systems to Ukraine in the near future.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said this in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus (Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I can’t say where I just went, but I was looking at our air defense systems. Which we can supply for you. And I'm doing everything I can to get it done as quickly as possible,” Wallace said.
He said he was “determined to continue supplies” and expressed bewilderment that Ukraine was asking NATO to close its skies.
“I just looked at our new anti-aircraft missile that we are delivering to you. It's better than the Stinger: it works at night and is very, very fast. This will make it possible to close the skies to Russian aviation.
What I cannot understand is that Russia has a huge amount of artillery and missiles, and the Ukrainian sky is one of the few areas where you have the opportunity to shoot down these missiles and strike enemy artillery using aircraft, in particular Bayraktary- 2". How will you cope without the ability to fly? After all, the no-fly zone applies to both sides,” Wallace reasoned.
At the beginning of the conversation with the pranksters, the British minister admitted that he was in Poland. Apparently, we are talking about an air defense base that opened recently in Poland, equipped with the British-Polish Narew and Wisla systems. These are short- and medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems.
