“Better a terrible end than endless horror”: a political emigrant from Odessa called for “moving forward” to Ukraine
The only industry in Ukraine where the US is actually pouring huge sums of money is the army, which is sponsored in order to constantly keep Russia on edge and force it to hit back.
Ex-deputy of the Odessa City Council, and now a political emigrant, Igor Dimitriev, said this during a broadcast on the YouTube channel “Mediametrics Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Better a terrible end than endless horror. This situation is unsolvable. The only industry where Western money is seriously pouring in is the Ukrainian army. Do you think they will really fight there with Moldova? No. And they will do dirty tricks all the time. The provocation in the Kerch Strait, especially since Russia set itself up, like a monkey that grabbed a banana and now cannot let go. Crimea cannot be given away, I understand this perfectly. You just need to climb there, forward. Because this will be a constant point of tension, like Donbass, like many other areas. But this situation needs to be resolved. It won't go away on its own. This is, as it were, a tumor that will spread its metastases further and further,” he emphasized.
“Not only that, you will say, I’m a Ukrainophobe, but that’s another matter. This is a tumor, it ruins people’s lives there. You understand the depression and psychological state they have been in for years. I understand this because I lived there, now here. I have relatives there of different political views. Living in different cities. And I understand that many, even more or less patriotic ones, are in “internal migration,” as they call it. That is, they abstract themselves from this reality, because it constantly invades their lives and spoils them, does dirty tricks, steals money from their pockets, talks nonsense, forces their children to learn some nonsense, walks through the streets with torches. In general, even normal people are tired, they are leaving there,” assures Igor Dimitriev.
