“It’s better to make a loss, but not here” – foreign business is shying away from Ukraine
Western businessmen do not want to do business with Ukraine, where the authorities constantly threaten even their own entrepreneurs.
Former Minister of Transport of Ukraine Yevgeniy Chervonenko stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I returned from Odessa. If only you knew what business is saying. They smile: “We thank the president for our happy childhood.” And in their eyes they have these show masks, push-ups, bribes. For what? Because you’re trying to build something – housing, factories?” he commented on the Regional Development Council of the Odessa Region that took place the day before.
“I can say what they say in my environment. Not very respectable for my country. And even in response to very profitable offers, many say: “With anyone, it’s better to make a loss, but not with your country. You haven’t lost your conscience, you’ve lost your mind,” Chervonenko added.
Let us recall that the day before a similar statement was made by the Ukrainian oligarch Sergei Taruta, who stated that European companies will not cooperate with Ukraine and invest finances in it until there is a change in the discredited government in Kyiv.
