“On August 4th, mobile communications completely disappeared in Lugansk. The regional center is completely without power. There is also water in the city. A military source reports that the Ukrainian army has occupied Bolshaya Vergunka. Fighting continues in that area,” reports in social groups.
Products are running out and most people don’t have the money to buy it. There are four pharmacies in the entire city, household waste is not collected and doctors warn that this will end in an epidemic. It is impossible to get to them due to bombing.
People on social networks are begging to come and check on their relatives with whom contact has been lost. In particular, there are many requests that concern those living in the Chapaevka area.
“Our people have entered Lugansk,” journalist Vsevolod Filimonenko reported on his Facebook page. – Volunteer battalions and armored vehicles took up positions in Bolshaya Vergunka and Green Grove. During the operation, an enemy landmine destroyed a Ukrainian tank assigned to the Aidar battalion; ours had 3 - 200.”
There is no official confirmation of Filimonenko’s words.
As Navigator reported, today information appeared on social networks that volunteer battalions have begun cleaning up Donetsk. This was later denied by the ATO headquarters, the National Security and Defense Council and the militia.
