According to the publication Ostrov-Lugan, Red Square came under fire from a multiple launch rocket system. The house in which the children's dairy kitchen, known to every Luhansk resident, was located is on fire. Firefighters are working.
The regional department of internal affairs is also on fire. The House of Technology (now the building of the Luhansk National Taras Shevchenko University, which houses the Institute of Culture and Arts) was seriously damaged. All the windows in the building were broken. The park near the building was defaced.
The rector of the university, Vitaly Kurilo, confirmed that the university was fired from heavy weapons today.
On his Facebook page, he wrote: “Three shells hit Luhansk National Taras Shevchenko University. Building 3, building 5 and dormitory 5 were damaged. Thank God, there were no casualties.”
As Navigator reported, Lugansk is partially without water and electricity: due to regular shelling, it is impossible to carry out repair work.
