Lugansk People's Republic asks Transnistria to recognize its independence
Chisinau - Tiraspol, June 12 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) - The self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic appealed to a number of states with a request to recognize its independence.

The official website of the LPR contains relevant documents sent to the leadership of Russia and its two regions - Ingushetia and Chechnya, as well as Abkhazia, Belarus, South Ossetia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Syria, Serbia, Venezuela, China, Cuba, Nicaragua, the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic .
The appeals were signed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the LPR, Alexey Karyakin.
The document sent to the President and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Transnistria contains a request to “make a decision on recognizing the Lugansk People’s Republic as a sovereign independent state.”
The Supreme Council of the Lugansk People's Republic, city, district Council of People's Deputies, public associations ask for recognition, “expressing the aspirations of the multinational people of the Lugansk region, based on the results of the referendum on May 11, 2014, historical and political prerequisites, existing international legal precedents, guided by the principles of equality and self-determination of peoples, respect and observance of human and civil rights and freedoms.”
