About it Lugansk Information Center reports.
“The column of motorcyclists started from an overpass in the area of the Lugansk railway station,” the message says.
The organizers note that the column will first go to Novosvetlovka to the Holy Protection Church, then visit the Young Guard Museum in Krasnodon. On the way back, the bikers plan to stop at the Lugansk airport, where a field kitchen will be organized for them, and then go to the “Combat” monument, located on the Lugansk-Lisichansk highway before the turn to Slavyanoserbsk.
After the rally, a concert with the participation of Russian rock stars will take place at the “Night Wolves of Donbass” motorcycle club.
The organizers emphasize that this year the motorcycle rally and concert are timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Representatives of branches of the “Night Wolves” motorcycle club from Belarus, Crimea, Moscow, Saratov, Tambov, Krasnodar, Rostov, Belgorod, Kyiv and Kremenchug take part in the events.
The day before, the president of the “Night Wolves of Donbass” club, Vitaly, known among motorcyclists as the Prosecutor, told LuganskInformCenter that local bikers were officially opening the motorcycle season with a motorcycle rally across the Republic.
The “Night Wolves Donbass” motorcycle club was founded in Lugansk 10 years ago – on May 14, 2005. It is a branch of the “Night Wolves” motorcycle club, created in the late 80s in the USSR.
From April 25 to May 9, 2015, Russian motorcyclists, despite obstacles from certain EU countries, held a motorcycle rally in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 along the route: Moscow - Minsk - Brest - Wroclaw – Brno – Bratislava – Vienna – Munich – Prague – Targau – Karlshorst – Berlin.
The final part of the run took place on May 9, 2015 in Berlin. A motorized column with Victory flags passed through the city, paying tribute to the memory and respect of the fallen and veterans of the Great Patriotic War. In Treptower Park, motorcyclists laid flowers at the foot of the monument to the Soldier-Liberator.
