Lugansk blogger Sergei Ivanov stated this on air on the Kyiv Channel 5.
“The assault on part of the internal troops did not last 10 hours, this is quite obvious. The assault lasted about 40 minutes, after which everything calmed down, and after that negotiations began. This can be called something, but the shots, as far as I remember, began at 21.40, and at 22.05 the shots ended. And at half past ten, as they wrote to me, “Czechs” were walking around the territory. I spoke with a representative of the army of the South-East, he said “we have nothing to do with the assault on this unit, everything is done by Russian mercenaries, Chechens and so on - Dagestanis, Ossetians,” the blogger noted.
“So they handed over the part, or what?” asked the presenter.
"Certainly. Some officers fired back, I don’t know what their fate was. Nobody knows how many people were taken out... But the fact that some of them surrendered, and what they say about 10 hours of confrontation - well, you know,” Sergei Ivanov shrugged.
