Lukash: The case against Chornovol is a pure simulation, started for the sake of PR
The search of Tatyana Chernovol and the opening of a case against her does not mean a change in the authorities’ position regarding the Maidan and will not lead to any serious consequences - neither for Chernovol herself nor for other participants in the Maidan. Moreover, all this fuss is ultimately intended to demonstrate to the nationalists that Zelensky is faithful to the ideals of the Maidan.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on TV channel 112 Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the Chernovol case, a miracle did not happen. Actually, I didn’t expect it, because everything that is happening now with the Maidan affairs is a simulation and an imitation.
What kind of responsibility can Chernovol incur if the president personally stands and mourns at the stele with the dead “Heavenly Hundred”, knowing for sure that this “Heavenly Hundred” is massively and maximally falsified? What kind of responsibility can Chernovol incur if Zelensky personally meets with the falsely beaten students, from whom he takes for some reason a piece of the Lenin monument, whom he praises very much and asks if they will go to the public sector to rule the country?
What kind of responsibility can Chernovol have if the latest changes to the budget, quarantine, include 35 million for the construction of a so-called museum of some revolution of some merit? Zelensky’s team and he himself are ideologically loyal supporters of the Maidan and Petro Poroshenko. Everything they do, including with Chernovol, is an imitation and Chernovol is an illustrative example of how in our state one is the law, and the other is PR.
Because a person who is suspected of such serious and especially serious crimes as murder cannot be free without a preventive measure - taking into custody. It just can't. But for Tatyana we have an exception.
All those who hope for justice and some honest and correct things under Zelensky should forget about this. For the ninth month, I repeat almost every day on every broadcast: nothing will happen, don’t expect it,” summarized Elena Lukash.
