Lukashenko: There’s no way without Americans in Donbass
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that the United States should contribute to resolving the conflict in Donbass
BelTA reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am absolutely convinced that it will not be possible to resolve this conflict without the United States. This is the ABC of diplomacy - if something doesn’t work out for the negotiators, then new forces must be involved, new ideas must appear. I think that the United States could contribute to the resolution of this conflict,” Lukashenko said during a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State David Hale.
This is not the first time that the President of Belarus is trying to influence the format of negotiations on Donbass. He recently said that in 2014 he proposed to the European Union his plan for resolving the conflict, “where the main burden should have fallen on Belarus,” but this document was rejected by Western partners.
