It will take two years for Belarus to overcome the consequences of Western sanctions.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this at a meeting in the Vitebsk region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The moment is this: on the one hand, the situation is very difficult. Together with Russia they will constantly strangle us. You see that they include us in the lists so that Russia does not bypass sanctions through Belarus, that is, for the company. But we understand that they need to ruin us, bring us to the level of Ukraine and deal with this forever. On the one hand, it’s hard, and it won’t get any easier. But, on the other hand, for farmers it is happiness.
The Russian Prime Minister asks: give us lists of what you want to sell, we will include you. These are opportunities, this is a chance. Therefore, today we must, through any difficulties, difficulties, with clenched teeth, endure this and, possibly, the next year. And we will rebuild and work normally. But you must, in order to get up from your knees, get the products and sell them,” Lukashenko said.
