Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, the arrival of Lukashenko and Nazarbayev is a screen, the purpose of which is to prepare society for the results of agreements with Moscow.
“All these meetings, if they make sense, are only to create some kind of preconditions in order to justify political agreements, which may be directly coordinated with Moscow today. It is necessary to create a crowd - a couple of presidents who are completely in line with Moscow's policies and, as if they had been here themselves, made statements that seem not to have been agreed upon with Moscow, and allow creating conditions so that later it turns out that we have there is a high agreement, with which, I’m afraid, we will live for a long time,” Grishchenko said.
At the same time, the host of the program clarified whether the diplomat meant only Donbass, or Crimea too.
“I mean the east, because almost no one in Kyiv remembers Crimea anymore. There is nothing that could really show how the real policy of mobilizing international cooperation is, there are no those who will defend this position,” Grishchenko answered.
