Lukashenko wants Arab emirs as mediators in negotiations with the EU

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko wants the United Arab Emirates to act as a mediator in his negotiations with the European Union.
He stated this in an interview with Sky News Arabia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for dialogue with Europe, it is difficult to call it a dialogue in this situation. As for mediators, I generally don’t like any kind of mediation, but if, dear Imat, your country will be a mediator in this dialogue, I will not refuse. Because these are objective people, honest and decent. If the Europeans accept your proposal for dialogue and mediation, the Emirates could become such a mediator. I’m for it,” Lukashenko said.
