“From personal to economics. This is not normal, it needs to end. We are not Ukraine, we are not anti-Russian, we do not strive to join NATO. We sacredly cherish the agreement on the defense of our space,” Lukashenko said.
He called the meetings of the government of the Union State a “disgrace” and also expressed complaints about the Customs Union.
“We expected that this union would be based on equality. But due to unequal prices and conditions, Belarus lost $15 billion. They gave us as many as 5 billion loans. This is a third of our own money at a huge percentage. This is fine? And then we feed them,” Lukashenko said.
He also made claims against Russian television, which made “offensive films” about him. According to Lukashenko, a special group in Belarus is now preparing a large report on Russian-Belarusian relations.
At the same time, he spoke out for friendship between peoples.
“I would like the conflict at the top to never go down to the bottom. Therefore, I ask you very much: never offend Russians. These are our people. Presidents come and go, but nations remain. Sooner or later we will come to an agreement anyway,” Lukashenko said.
