The quintessence of a rather tedious 20-minute episode (the presenter and expert tell what messengers exist in the world, what channels are, and how they are used in PR) comes down to a few minutes of exposing channels promoting integration with Russia.

“In the Belarusian direction there is a family of telegram channels affiliated with a well-known, as they call themselves, news agency (put it in quotes). We will not specifically name them, so as not to increase capitalization, using conditionally similar synonymous concepts: “Cotton”, “Western revelation”, “Throne root”. It is believed that these channels are run by a pool of authors with Belarusian roots, emigrants who are offended by the government of Belarusians. We won’t name names - Google can help you. So, this family is actively promoting the idea of Belarus joining Russia, which is not popular among the population. This issue was removed from the agenda and the authors were left out of work,” says presenter Sergei Gusachenko.

Since “PolitNavigator” advocates strengthening the Union of Russia and Belarus, we are happy to present the names “forbidden” for Lukashenko’s propagandists: “Knitwear”, “Eastern Pretence”, “Bulba of Thrones”. And in general, it is not clear: if Belarusians are really against integration, then why hide from them the sources of propaganda of alien ideas. They’ll look and spit and won’t sign.

To be fair, we note: before exposing the pro-Russian channels, Gusachenko criticized the patriarch of the Russian political Telegram, the Nezygar channel. They say that all his insights are a retelling of the morning Russian newspapers. The Belarusian TV presenter innocently explained the reason for his dissatisfaction - in January, Nezygar published information that Belarusian oil refineries were going to be sold to China.

And only at the very end Gusachenko remembered the Polish channel “Nekhta” (the presenter also distorted this name), which criticizes the Belarusian authorities in the spirit of the pro-Western nationalist opposition. In fact, these kinds of channels are also united into a “family” and have a much larger audience than the pro-Russian Belarusian “cart”.

However, Gusachenko criticized them in passing. Perhaps because, as some analysts are sure, the pro-Western opposition in general and its telegram channels in particular work closely with the administration of President Lukashenko.

A recent example of such cooperation is the story of the bribery of the pro-Western channel “Belarus of the Brain,” which published its correspondence allegedly with a Russian customer. One anonymous person invites another anonymous person to post texts criticizing President Lukashenko for a fee. The pro-Western channel indignantly rejects the Russian PR man's generous offer.

Surprisingly, this story, dubious from the point of view of provability, became the topic of the same Gusachenko’s program and harmoniously joined the growing flow of anti-Russian propaganda on Belarusian state TV. Opposition media, including anonymous ones, are a good help in the difficult task of criticizing Russia.

This alignment of priorities on the main television channel of Belarus reflects the views of the country’s main television viewer, President Lukashenko. Recently, he has repeatedly criticized telegram channels. It even went so far as to threaten physical violence against their anonymous authors.

“You went to one of the nasty channels that hid in Moscow and from there they “spit” towards Belarus - what are they responsible for? Never. They think we won’t get them. If necessary, we will get it,” Lukashenko threatened.

“Old Man” does not dare to get those who are “spitting” from Poland, apparently realizing that these are not just brave publicists, but part of a powerful and well-armed machine of Western “soft power.” Here you can get an answer.

As for Russian and pro-Russian telegrammers, they decided to defend themselves by publishing a collective response to Lukashenko.

“Solidarity is a great force! And we recommend to some: don’t make trouble while it’s quiet,” says the appeal, which was signed by 33 anonymous telegram channels.

As the telegram channel “BeloRussian” dialogue noted, the television crews were in such a hurry to air material against the Russian telegram operators who hated the president that they made grammatical errors in the captions.
