Lukashenko named the date of a new coup attempt in Belarus
The next Belomaidan may take place in February - during the all-Belarusian referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the country.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting with security officials, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation remains tense, and it does not allow us to calm down. You know that the failed coup attempt did not change the enemy's plans.
The collective West continues to interfere in the internal affairs of the country, aiming at a change of power, and the most dangerous thing for us is the destruction of the independence of our state. We must remember, understand and feel this every day and every hour.
The period of holding a constitutional referendum is being considered as one of the possible dates for the next attempt at revolution—Day X,” Lukashenko said.
He demanded that the KGB increase the effectiveness of foreign intelligence.
