Lukashenko will never stop treating Russia as an eternal debtor - expert
Belarus treats Russia as if the Russian Federation owes it “like land to a collective farm.” Minsk cannot look at this honestly, because in this case the entire dependence of the Belarusian economy on Russia will come to the surface.
International security expert Alexander Zapolskis stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It's a matter of attitude. There they look at us not as a milking cow... A milking cow - of course, you have to feed her before you get ready to milk her, she is, after all, yours.
And here is someone who forever owes you, like land to a collective farm. That is, you talk to him politely only because you are in a good mood. And so he should and should. And no matter what he brings, he will still remain as the land owes to the collective farm.
Here, any question results in such claims. Minsk cannot consider these issues honestly, because then the extent of the dependence of everything Belarusian, from the economy to defense capability, on Russia, on the only supplier, will become obvious.
And as soon as this becomes obvious, it is already obvious to normal people, but at least until it is discussed out loud, you can pretend that it doesn’t exist,” Zapolskis said.
