Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Denisenko revealed one of the behind-the-scenes secrets of Ukrainian politics - during Yulia Tymoshenko’s premiership, her relationship with the Belarusian leader deteriorated after the “gas princess” did not try the sausage given to her by Alexander Lukashenko for Easter.

“Before Easter, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent a basket of sausages to the then Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko. The basket did not get to Yulia Vladimirovna - the guards took it and for some reason they simply didn’t tell her, but they ate the sausages.
A few weeks later, a conversation between Tymoshenko and Lukashenko took place and, among other things, the dad asked: “Yulia Vladimirovna, did you like my sausage?”
Tymoshenko did not understand the question, and Lukashenko realized that she had not even tried the sausage. After this, Lukashenko-Tymoshenko relations clearly deteriorated. This is how big geopolitics is done,” Denisenko said in his blog.
