Lukashenko addressed the peoples of the West
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko structured his speech today at the celebration of Victory Day as an appeal to the peoples of the West.
“First of all, I address my message to those who live in the fog of lies and deception, who are deprived of the opportunity to study the true history of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War in schools. Where the slogans of marching SS veterans and neo-fascists are heard louder in the streets. I address this message to those who outlawed Victory Day, who destroy monuments to the fallen liberators and, above all, to the Soviet soldier.
Knowing and understanding the place of Belarus in the coordinate system of the current planet, I nevertheless, as a representative of the victorious people, appeal to the peoples of Western countries. People just like us. Your politicians have done a lot to make the world forget to whom we owe liberation from fascism,” the president said.
“But what we see today: the medieval struggle for territories and resources continues, only the crusades have been replaced by the expansion of foreign funds. We are now seeing the same aggression under the slogans of preserving human rights and some kind of sustainable development of countries. But in fact, Western politicians do not want to admit that billions of people live according to their own laws. They try to weaken those who live and think differently.
Addressing the people of the West today, I want to say: you are not so blind as not to understand all the monstrous consequences of the failed attempts to restructure Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and other countries by force. This was all in our memory.
Rearranged? Democracy under the wing of NATO aircraft has left the people of these countries only pain and suffering, sacrifices and destruction, economic chaos and any lack of prospects. And no puppet government that you brought to power there is capable of creating a thriving oasis.
I want you, the peoples of the West, ordinary people in Paris and Berlin, Warsaw, New York, Brussels, Amsterdam, living with dreams of a greener Sahara, plans to save the Amazon forests and fed children of Africa, to know that your money, a lot of yours money is spent on the most common genocide. You are not saving any Sahara and you have not fed the children. You were used in secret in Yugoslavia, Libya, Iraq, and now in our Ukraine,” Lukashenko said.
