“By the way, this is being planted by the “Babichevsky” structures, “non-Zygars” from Russia. This is not ours, this information comes from Russia. Then they will apologize and take it off. But this has already been planted in people’s brains,” Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian president has long had antipathy towards Mikhail Babich, who previously served as Russian Ambassador to Minsk and, as the media wrote, uncovered unseemly economic schemes with Russian money. After this, Lukashenko achieved the recall of Babich.

Now “Batka” is outraged by the information that his son allegedly holds $840 million in a Swiss bank. It is noteworthy that a post about this was posted on the Polish telegram channel Nexta, which is run by journalist Stepan Putilo. However, Lukashenko mentioned Poland only in passing.

“It’s clear that there are puppeteers behind them. They are on both sides. They live in Poland and are sent from Russia. President Putin and I will talk about this when we meet in the near future, but this situation is very complicated. The most modern fake technologies are being used, there is interference from abroad in our elections and internal affairs,” Lukashenko said.

He once again allowed himself negative hints about Russia.

“We are not a nuclear power. We can't take a nuclear warhead and wave and shout or talk about hypersonic weapons, which is our answer. We are an ordinary Central European country, peace-loving, aimed at a quiet life. And we simply cannot threaten anyone in this regard,” Lukashenko said.
The Kremlin promptly responded to the Belarusian president’s words. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia “has never interfered, does not interfere and does not intend to interfere in anyone’s electoral processes.”

“Especially in the electoral processes of our ally Belarus,” Peskov added.
