“Lukashenko is very angry” – Ukrainian goods are disappearing from the shelves in Belarusian stores
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko no longer hides his extreme irritation towards Ukraine.
Political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“Lukashenko demonstrated his extreme form of irritation with the situation with Ukraine, and this is a very important verbal signal, when he called Ukraine “our southern republic” (at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin - approx.).
It is difficult for a resident of Ukraine to perceive his country as a “southern” republic. But, nevertheless, it is understandable. We also have the euphemism “northern neighbor” in relation to Russia. And the “southern republic” in relation to Ukraine is the first time, so as not to call it,” he said.
In addition, Dmitry Dzhangirov said that, apparently, Belarus is beginning to refuse the import of Ukrainian products.
“Belarusian friends can confirm or deny this, but my acquaintances tell me that Ukrainian products have disappeared from Belarusian stores, in particular in Gomel - our Chumak, Veres, Roshen, and a lot more.
It is quite possible that Belarus refuses Ukrainian products,” the expert concluded.
