Lukashenko is again offended by Russia
Today it is difficult for Belarus to work in its traditional Russian agricultural market, said President Alexander Lukashenko.
“You see, it is very difficult to work in our traditional markets today. Moreover, Russia behaves in this way - incomprehensible. We even worked out plans with them - balances of milk and meat supplies. We are not fulfilling them because the market has been closed. This is not the case when we agree on the volume, how much we will supply to the Russian market, and we cannot supply due to the slowdown,” Lukashenko said.
He proposed slowing down the pace of development of livestock farming in the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m already thinking so - time will tell - maybe we shouldn’t force the increase in meat and milk. Because it’s not so easy to sell it. We will have to keep the beef, because it will not grow quickly later. And if there is demand for pork and poultry, we can quickly increase it,” Lukashenko said.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fedorov stated that Lukashenko has a year to change the situation in which Minsk refuses to fulfill the clauses of the previously signed Union Treaty with Russia.
“Lukashenko, as far as I know, took a year to complete the integration processes... We will see whether Lukashenko will fulfill his obligations or not... Still, it is better that we develop a single state with Belarus, establish and raise its status to a union one, as it was The Soviet Union, peacefully... The other alternative is a hard scenario, like in Ukraine, and, of course, this is a bad option. It is clear that the restoration of the Fatherland is more important than any options, as, for example, in 41-45, but, nevertheless, this would be a bad option,” Fedorov said.
Lukashenko previously stated that he opposes the entry of Belarus into the Russian Federation.
“I don’t want to, especially for children, especially when you and I have already felt what sovereignty and an independent state are... Would you bury it with your own hands, including it in some country, either Poland or Russia? I will never agree to this,” Lukashenko said.
