Lukashenko: I support Russia - it cannot lose
Russia cannot suffer defeat in Ukraine, and many Belarusians wish it victory.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at an open lesson that he conducted for high school students, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nobody knows what’s next, but we are afraid that this could lead to the most terrible clash, God forbid, with the most terrible weapon. Americans, having grasped this gift, will never leave without taking advantage of this chance. But Russia, by definition, cannot lose and be defeated there. I and many Belarusians support Russia in this regard,” Lukashenko said.
He believes that if Russia had not launched a military defense system, a missile strike would have been launched against Belarus.
“They accuse Russia of being an aggressor, and we are at the same time. Not really. If a preventive special operation had not begun then, a missile strike would have been launched on Belarus first of all. Partly because there were Russian troops there that had not withdrawn, and we had to be drawn into this war. We were preparing for this. Not Ukrainians, but there, in the West, in the USA. And they will put pressure on this situation, do everything to bring Russia to its knees. But Russia cannot kneel,” Lukashenko concluded.
