Lukashenko showed schoolchildren the first Belarusian computer
The Belarusian television plant "Horizon" will produce laptops.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at an open lesson that he conducted for high school students, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is the first computer No. 1 that our smart people gave me. They were given the task of wandering around the world, finding the best thing that we cannot yet create - some processors, software - and creating this computer.
Honestly, it contains 12% Belarusian. By the end of the year it will be 30%. But the fact itself is important. You can feel it. If you weren’t told that it was created at our Gorizont television plant, you wouldn’t say that it was created in Belarus. This suggests that we have great potential,” Lukashenko said.
He also mentioned two supercomputers that Belarus created jointly with Russia. They do not contain imported components.
