Lukashenko resolved oil and gas problems with Putin for three years
Belarus has not yet experienced “noticeable progress” in implementing joint energy programs with Russia.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting on the implementation of integration programs of the Union State, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The implementation of programs to form united markets for gas, oil and petroleum products required raising the issue to the highest level. During the December negotiations with the President of Russia, the necessary solutions were found (for at least three years). Now work is underway to consolidate the agreements reached in existing documents,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, 70% of the thousands of activities within the framework of union programs have already been completed.
“However, some of the events that are important to us are running behind the agreed schedules. As they report to me, our Russian partners are moving slowly on a number of issues. But I always say: it doesn’t happen – one is to blame, and the other is good. Somewhere we are not doing enough,” Lukashenko said.
