Lukashenko invited Western neighbors to “run into Russia”
Western neighbors criticize Belarus because they are afraid to voice their claims to Russia, the United States and large European countries.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting with activists of the Vitebsk region; a PolitNavigator correspondent will move.
“As for our western neighbors. Anything happens there. And double standards. And now, on the eve of the presidential elections, they are already starting to hint to us: you should make sure that everything is democratic, that God forbid, there are no clashes in the streets.
I recently told Macron: look at what your “yellow vests” are doing, how you are fighting there. Okay, France. And take it – your partner is the USA. Do you see what's happening there? Can't do without tear gas. Criticize Trump and the US for their lack of democracy. Don't try to run into Russia. They are afraid. They probably decided to train in Belarus again. It won’t work!” Lukashenko said.
Earlier, EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borel criticized the refusal to register presidential candidates in Belarus - Lukashenko's two main rivals - Viktor Babariko and Valery Tsepkalo.
