Lukashenko ordered to “put in place” the Belarusian doctors who had gathered in Poland
Belarusian doctors who go to Poland to earn money will no longer be able to work in their homeland.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today at a meeting on the situation with coronavirus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are seeing a huge outbreak, especially in neighboring Poland. Just two days ago they began gathering doctors and other medical personnel around the world to help people. That's the whole fairy tale about a beautiful life. And they especially ask our doctors to come to Poland in order to help the population and the state in the fight against Covid.
In this regard, I would like to warn you: we do not have extra doctors. We ourselves need to treat our people. But following our principle, we will not keep anyone. But you have to understand: if you leave, you won’t come back. You will work there and earn the big money you left for. This is not a threat, it is an order for the government. Everyone needs to be put in their place. We don’t interfere with anyone if their eyes have turned green from currency,” Lukashenko said.
This statement outraged Russian liberal blogger Ilya Varlamov.
“The Agrofuhrer continues to think that Belarusians are his personal serfs. Who are you anyway to decide where people work? Who are you to decide who will return and who will not return!?” the blogger yelled in his Telegram channel.
