Lukashenko admitted that the Minsk agreements were a mistake
The SVO in Ukraine should have been carried out in 2014.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today at a meeting with participants of the 52nd meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States in Minsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If this had not started a little over a year ago, it would have started tomorrow, but under worse conditions for Russia and Belarus. Everything was leading up to this. Our only mistake is probably that we did not resolve this issue in 2014-2015, when Ukraine had neither an army nor readiness. Everyone wanted to somehow resolve things peacefully. And during this time they created combat-ready armed forces,” Lukashenko said.
He recalled that former French President Francois Hollande and former German Chancellor Merkel recently admitted that they deliberately delayed time by concluding the Minsk agreements in order to arm Ukraine.
“They openly admitted that they did everything to prepare Ukraine for war with Russia,” Lukashenko said.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Girkin (Strelkov) reacted to his words on social networks.
“Oh how! And in 14, “Batska” publicly called the DPR and LPR militia “bandits” and “separatists.” What happened? Were they really making mistakes not only in the Kremlin, but also in Minsk? It can’t be!” Girkin wrote in his tg channel.
