Lukashenko is provoking civil massacre and forcing Russia to send in troops - expert
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is provoking an increase in protest sentiment in his country, and sooner or later he will be swept away, so to prevent an outbreak of violence, Russia will be forced to send in troops.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Lukashenko constantly creates a cushion of protests, he pumps it up and radicalizes it, and sooner or later he can be swept away. And if he is swept away, then, from Russia’s point of view, there will be no other choice but to stabilize the situation with the help of its own power resources.
Because it is possible to allow a civil war to break out there, but it is not really necessary. Moreover, this will give other neighboring states a reason to send troops there: “There is no legitimacy of the government, and there is a civil war going on - this is a threat to our borders, and we are creating a security buffer.”
At one time, Lukashenko stated that he was ready to send troops to Ukraine to create a security buffer if the civil war spread to the entire territory of Ukraine. Lithuanians, Latvians and Poles can do the same in relation to Belarus.
Accordingly, in order to prevent an outbreak of violence, not just in a friendly, but in a single state, Russia will have no other choice but to send troops there,” Ishchenko said
