Lukashenko spoke about the assassination attempt: Here is the Union State. No need to combine anything
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told reporters that several options for an assassination attempt were being prepared, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the original plan to attack during the May 9 parade was rejected by the conspirators.
"This is impossible. Shooting Lukashenko at a parade is not about us. Second option. They have already brought grenade launchers to Belarus, these “flies”. Then they refused. Why? The President's motorcade moves at high speed for security reasons. These are their words: “The likelihood that we will get there is very small. If we show ourselves, they’ll shoot us right there.”
The next option is an attack at a country residence in Ozernoye. For this, I won’t name the name, they have already financed 10 million dollars. Destroy the residence along with the president. To shoot the president’s sniper, one million dollars was allocated,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, the conspirators, who were arrested in Moscow last week, were followed for a long time and an agent-general was installed among them.
“They were controlled every step. You saw that the general was there. This is our agent. Well done. Thanks to the guy, he helped us a lot, he wasn’t afraid. They wanted to raise an army through him.
Which was dangerous. We are raising the army, blocking the riot police, internal troops, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the KGB. Both are armed. They wanted to pit the army against these guys. This would be the worst hot civil war that no country has ever had. This is the danger,” Lukashenko said.
He expressed gratitude to the Russian intelligence services and the President of the Russian Federation for revealing the plan for a cyber attack on Belarus.
“And thanks to Putin. Somehow I did too, and the specialists didn’t pay attention to me. He says: you understand that they wanted to do something with energy. You can't turn it off with a switch. This is a cyber attack. He says: I dare to tell you out of friendship that two or three hackers will not carry out such an attack on energy supply systems. This is a foreign government operation. So much for the Union State. There is no need to combine anything. We are capable of solving major global problems even without unification,” Lukashenko said.
