Lukashenko laughed in the face of a Ukrainian journalist who asked about Crimea
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko could not contain his laughter when Ukrainian journalist Olga Koshelenko asked him today whether Russia would return Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t know this, frankly speaking, but it seems to me – no. As the president says, this issue is resolved today and forever. This is what the neat and calm Lavrov and the entire leadership say. This is the consensus in Russian society. There is no such issue where Russians would support the authorities as much as in Crimea,” Lukashenko said.
Belarus has still not recognized the Russian status of Crimea. Today, in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov said that Russia will not put pressure on its closest ally in this matter.
