Lukashenko: Russia will absorb everything
Russia will buy almost all goods produced by Belarus.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting with governors, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What are the sanctions in Belarus? What is stopping us from working today? Name at least one product that we cannot sell. Yes, they took us beyond the fence to Russia - Russia will absorb everything except for two or three positions. Well, take control of these positions.
Everything else is sold with a bang. Export prices are crazy, why are you all rushing there? But don’t forget that we must feed our 10 million and two million guests,” Lukashenko said.
He particularly touched upon the topic of potash fertilizer exports.
“Today we do not control the supply of Belkali to the ports. It is important for us that Belkali supplies fertilizers. Thanks to those who supply, they do not increase prices,” the president concluded.
In July, Belaruskali began shipping its products through Russian ports due to sanctions imposed by the West. The company entered into an agreement for transshipment of two million tons of potassium by the end of 2023 with the St. Petersburg operator Keystone Logistics LLC.
