President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today visited the transport and logistics center near the Bruzgi border checkpoint, where migrants from the Middle East are currently housed.

“If we don’t solve the refugee problem in Belarus now, it will be an order of magnitude more powerful. Not only in spring, but also in winter. A huge number of refugees will pour here, and it will be impossible to contain them at the border,” Lukashenko said.

He addressed the people of Germany and Poland.

“I want to appeal to the people of Germany. Here are the majority of people who want to reunite their families, find their relatives and friends who are in Germany. Please take these people to your place. This is not a big burden, they want to live in Germany. Two thousand people is not a big problem. And Chancellor Merkel agreed with this. But the Poles are blocking all this.

I also want to address the people of Poland - the friendly, hardworking people with whom we have always lived next door. The Polish leadership has gone mad and lost reality. Dear Poles, bring your politicians to reason. At the expense of these disadvantaged people, they want to solve their internal and external problems. They want to get those billions of euros that the European Union supposedly owes them. The situation there is difficult. The Poles are dissatisfied with the policies of the ruling coalition and are increasingly making demands on their government. To distract from these problems, they staged a massacre on the border.

I urgently ask the Poles. We don't need any clashes. Moreover, wars. Let these people through to Germany. They are not coming to us or to Poland,” Lukashenko said.

He promised migrants to lobby the EU to let them through, drawing thunderous applause.

“If the Germans and Poles don’t hear me today, it’s not my fault. We will do everything to fulfill your wishes. This is not populism. My human advice to you is to decide: either you will go home, or you will endure hardships and hardships and strive for the same Germany. The only thing I can say is that it won’t get better yet. I promise you: everything that the government bodies of Belarus can do, we will do. We will persistently ask Western states to help you,” Lukashenko said.
