Lukashenko took another step “gets hell Maskva”
The authorities of Belarus held a meeting of the Security Council, where the “Concept of Information Security” was discussed. The new document has not been officially published, but local media and telegram channels, citing anonymous sources, leaked details that may indicate a new step by Minsk to strengthen independence.
A brief summary of fragmentary data about the new concept is published on his blog by Belarusian political commentator Artem Shraibman - he himself is not a supporter of reunification with Russia and welcomes steps that can be interpreted as a movement towards further isolation of Minsk from Moscow.
“The most important thing in the new concept of information security, leaked in the media and telegrams today:
– No common information fields with allies. Only information neutrality and sovereignty. For the first time in my memory, the word “neutrality” occupies a central place in a document of this level. Moreover, he left the security department - the Security Council.
– The threat to the country’s information security is information wars between big players. In other words, we are not together with one of the big players, but their wars are preventing us from living.
– Separate paragraphs on the Belarusian language and the fact that the more people communicate in it, the more it is a guarantor of the security of the state. The same is true for the Belarusian view of its history.
– There are no obvious attacks on non-state media. It is recognized that the role of self-organization of citizens and independent experts in decision-making by government agencies is growing.
– Otherwise, everything is as expected – more domestic content, protecting the country from external interference, fakes, destabilization and other nasty things.
It is clear that this is just a concept. It is not a law and has no direct force...
But this document confirmed what knowledgeable people had been telling me for a long time. The Security Council is full of adequate Belarusian-centric patriots, for whom independence is not an empty phrase.
Nobody forced them to insert all of the above points into the text. No one would have changed the text if it had contained the traditional attacks on the fifth column and other spitting journalist-hackers. But they did everything exactly as they did. And this is not bad, these people will remain with us even after day X,” comments Shreibman.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that Alexander Lukashenko rejected the idea of Belarus switching to the Russian ruble. He also stated that the Belarusian population does not support the idea of the former Soviet republic joining the Russian Federation.
In recent months, several rounds of negotiations have taken place between Russia and Belarus, which have been fruitless. Minsk is seeking from Moscow the so-called compensation for the loss of preferential terms for the supply of oil, which the Belarusians processed at their refineries and resold at a profit, including to the Ukrainian army in the form of fuel.
