Lukashenko signals to Ukraine that he is ready to be friends against Russia
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in his address to the people and the National Assembly, made it clear that he no longer considers Russia a “brotherly state,” but is ready to work within the target framework of Ukraine, which has a conflict with Russia.
The Belarusian oppositionist, an expert at the Institute of the Future, Igor Tyshkevich, who fled to Kyiv, stated this on his YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the short term, Belarus will most likely continue on the path of rapprochement with China. As a result, it will pull the United States in, simply as a counterbalance to China, especially since the United States itself, at a minimum, is not against participating in the scheme.
There will be no large-scale privatization - not because Lukashenko is categorically afraid of it. The question is - to whom. So far, the most obvious contenders are representatives of the Russian Federation. This is precisely where tactics and strategy are, if we are talking about Russia; Alexander Lukashenko’s passages for the near future are very interesting.
Lukashenko practically began his speech with foreign policy, with foreign policy balances, where he stated that Russia was allegedly renouncing the status of a brother, did not want to be a fraternal state, but let it be a partner. And literally in the next sentence he listed a whole series of strategic partners, where he forgot to mention Russia.
At least in the short term, this indicates that the conflict with the Russian Federation is not on the path to improvement. Russia still insists on moving along the path of integration. For Lukashenko, as of today, this is extremely unpleasant.
It is also worth paying attention to the passage about Ukraine. Lukashenko once again, not for the first time over the past few years, talks about the “war in Ukraine.” “War in Ukraine” - we are not talking about a conflict, as it was before, but about war. Lukashenko is clearly giving a signal, including to Ukraine. In principle, he is ready to work according to your target frame. It’s also interesting, it’s also not bad,” the zmagar rejoices.
