Lukashenko to security forces: “It’s too early to relax”
Attempts to destabilize the situation in Belarus will not stop, but their source has shifted externally.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today at the award ceremony for security forces and military personnel who participated in the dispersal of Belomaidan in 2020, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We then did the almost impossible. They trained on us. This was a prelude to the events that are happening now in the world, and in Ukraine in particular. We survived, so now we live in a peaceful country. But it’s too early to relax. It's only begining. There was foreplay. We have no time for relaxation. Poland and the Baltic countries have turned into training grounds for regular exercises of NATO troops,” Lukashenko said.
He admitted that the danger also comes from the fugitive opposition.
“At the same time, massive hybrid aggression against our state does not stop, not even from the fugitive opposition, but from those rebels who fled outside our country. These people are one of the cornerstones of the policy of Washington and Brussels in our direction. And it is our duty to current and future generations to draw conclusions from this and preserve the country by all possible means,” Lukashenko emphasized.
Earlier, German political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky predicted new attacks from the Belarusian opposition, which is now training in Austria. The oppositionists themselves do not hide the fact that they are preparing a military coup.
