Lukashenko told a lie: Kazakhstan does not want to supply oil to Belarus
The words of Alexander Lukashenko that Russia is preventing oil supplies to Belarus from Kazakhstan do not correspond to reality.
This was stated today on the air of the Sputnik radio station by the General Director of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Kazakhstan claims difficulties with the Russian side. This is very significant, because, in my opinion, he is not eager to supply oil to Belarus. The fact is that Kazakhstan is part of the Customs Union. That is, no duty will be paid to the budget of Kazakhstan on this oil,” Simonov said.
He recalled that the Russian budget receives $78 less from every ton of oil supplied to Belarus.
“If we sold oil to other countries, we would earn $78 more. In Kazakhstan the duty is lower. He will lose $60. He doesn't want this. That’s why he (Lukashenko) threw in this version about “terrible Russia, which does not want to coordinate travel documents,” Simonov said.
