Lukashenko sends thousands of tractors, combines and BelAZ trucks to Zimbabwe
Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Frederick Shawa arrived in Minsk today. Alexander Lukashenko personally met with him.
Old Man said that a number of cooperation programs have been outlined with Zimbabwe, including with the participation of Russia, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I spoke in some detail with the President of Russia about our joint cooperation with African states, primarily with Zimbabwe, and received assurances from him of effective cooperation,” Lukashenko said.
In January, Belarus and Zambabwe signed agreements on the promotion and mutual protection of investments. Belarus has already supplied Zimbabwe with more than 1,8 thousand tractors and about 80 grain harvesters. The third phase involves the delivery of more than 3,7 thousand units of tractor equipment and 60 combines over the next year and a half.
Also, supplies of Belarusian-made fire trucks have begun for the needs of local municipalities in Zimbabwe. In addition, BELAZ quarry equipment is already being successfully used in Zimbabwe. In the near future, 30 BELAZ dump trucks will arrive.
