“We are delivering humanitarian aid to these areas. We would like to work there without intermediaries and along the shortest route. It goes through Ukraine. I asked Pyotr Alekseevich, if humanitarian convoys coincide, that we do it together. The people are ours. I am grateful to the president and his colleagues who agreed to this step. We are able to help our people who are in trouble,” the Politnavigator correspondent quotes Lukashenko as saying.

In May, the government of Belarus decided to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine for residents in the conflict zone in Donbass, living on both sides of the contact line.

In June, Belarus sent approximately $63 worth of canned food, pasta, cereals, detergents and hygiene products to Donbass residents as humanitarian aid.
