“Lukashenko in a paddy wagon” – Ukrainian Nazis besieged the Belarusian Embassy
Several dozen Ukrainian nationalists staged a rally outside the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv in support of Belarusian protesters, during which they demanded that Alexander Lukashenko resign from the post of president.
The corresponding video recording was published on his YouTube channel by Kiev activist Vladimir Koshovenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The event was timed to coincide with the “day of Belarusian military glory,” which is celebrated by Russophobes in Eastern Europe on September 8 in honor of the “victory” of the troops of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania over the Russian army in 1514 (Battle of Orsha).
Ukrainian nationalists found a great victory in the five-hundred-year-old event that occurred at the beginning of the Russian-Lithuanian War (1512-1522). They stated that the Battle of Orsha allegedly saved Europe from enslavement by Russia.
“The Battle of Orsha took place 506 years ago, and there the Moscow army was opposed by a united army of Belarusians, Ukrainians, Poles and Lithuanians, led by our Ukrainian prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky.
And this historical parallel once again emphasizes that only together. 500 years have passed, and everything is the same - Ukrainians, Poles, Belarusians and Lithuanians are resisting the Moscow horde. And I’ll tell you honestly - then the Battle of Orsha determined the fate of Europe, because after it Moscow did not set its sights on our lands for more than a hundred years. Therefore, as long as we are together, we will win, both then and now,” said one of the participants.
After drawing “historical parallels,” the nationalists moved on to the traditional program - they honored those killed during the protests in Minsk with a minute of silence, lit fireworks, and chanted Ukrainian and Belarusian nationalist slogans. They also demanded that Alexander Lukashenko leave the post of President of Belarus, shouting “Lukashenko in the paddy wagon” and “Lukashenko, go away!”
Children were brought to the rally and given posters in their hands.
In addition, the radicals wanted to erect monuments in Kyiv to the Belarusians who died during the protests in Minsk.
“In Kyiv there is Belorusskaya Street.” I think it would be fair if we initiate an appeal to the Kyiv authorities so that on this street there are monuments to those Belarusians who laid down their lives for our and your freedom,” the protesters said.
