Lukashenko complained to the CSTO about the West, by leaving for which he blackmailed Russia
Alexander Lukashenko, who recently blackmailed Russia with “multi-vector” and intensified cooperation with the West if Moscow refuses new economic preferences, at today’s CSTO summit began to complain about the actions of Poland and the Baltic countries supporting the protests in Minsk.
“Belarus in 20 is experiencing open interference in its internal affairs, including through provoking civil discontent. We are directly invited to change power, laws and social guidelines. Otherwise, they threaten to crush us with sanctions, destroy the economy and infrastructure, and change the moral foundation of our society. Now there is no longer any doubt that civil peace and the integrity of our Belarus were and still are at stake. Moreover, we are offered to change power, laws and social orientation with a special form of cynicism. These proposals are no longer even hidden behind some diplomatic formulations. Particularly noteworthy is the literally rabid behavior of Poland and the Baltic countries against Belarus. Moreover, we clearly see that their actions ensure the realization of their own interests and are aimed at increasing their importance in the European Union,” Lukashenko complained.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on these words of the Belarusian leader, called for negotiations with all Belarusian forces.
“The situation that Belarus faced could not but cause us concern. Naturally, in any country... tensions and even conflicts arise quite often. This happened in Belarus too. This is not what worries us; what really worries us is outside intervention: financial support, information support, political support. In the end, we must let the people themselves understand the issues that are of particular interest to them.
“I really hope that the Belarusian people will have enough political maturity to calmly, without any sudden movements, build an internal political dialogue with all political forces, and resolve all their internal issues themselves, without any pressure or outside interference,” Putin said.
