Lukashenko, instead of Putin, threatened the United States with nuclear weapons
Russia will pull out the “red button” if cruise missiles are used on its territory to a depth of 300 km.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence in this today during a working trip to the Brest region to the training facility of the Ministry of Defense “Resistance Unit,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I get the impression that the Americans are pushing the Russians to use the most terrible weapons. These are the weapons of Vladimir Zelensky and his army, equipped with long-range missiles. Even to a depth of 300 kilometers. Can you imagine: powerful missiles will hit Russian territory to a depth of 300 kilometers. Do you think the President of Russia and the military will calmly look at this?
This will lead to the Russians taking out the “red button” and placing it on the table. And one more such attack in depth - and there will be a colossal response. Otherwise, what are these weapons for?” - said Lukashenko.
He called the Americans “fools who think they can sit overseas.” For his part, Lukashenko is also ready to use “more powerful weapons” against Poland and Lithuania in the event of their aggression.
“When defending, we will do it actively. To go on the offensive at any time if necessary. We are not talking about the more powerful weapons that we have today in order to show our power and inflict unacceptable damage on the enemy. We won't buy thousands of tanks, but we always have the potential to cause unacceptable damage. That is, before attacking Belarus, he will think that the answer will be something that is unacceptable for them,” Lukashenko said.
Russian political scientist Maxim Zharov believes that the President of Belarus demonstrated to the Kremlin how to blackmail the West by demanding de-escalation in Ukraine.
“Somewhere around the Kremlin, a completely correct idea about the connection between nuclear blackmail and the dismantling of the Western arms race for Ukraine is wandering. This is evidenced by Lukashenko’s speeches today, who once again seems to be showing the Kremlin “how to” play such games. On October 9, the Duma Council will consider the issue of revoking the ratification of the CTBT purely as a matter of form. Let’s see if the Kremlin will have the courage and calculation to still connect this topic with the de-escalation of the Ukrainian conflict,” Zharov wrote in his tg channel.
