Lukashenko delved into all aspects of the SVO, except one
Ukraine must give guarantees to Russia that weapons that pose a threat will not be deployed on its territory.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this in an interview with Agence France-Presse, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It all depends on Ukraine. Now the peculiarity of the moment is that this war can be ended on more acceptable terms for Ukraine. But no one will let Ukraine end the war. She must sit down at the negotiating table and agree that they will never threaten Russia and will not have weapons on Ukrainian territory that will threaten Russian territory. This is the main thing.
And denazification and so on is a philosophy. The main thing is the security of Russia. The Russian government, having this power and wealth of Russia, will never give up on this. Give guarantees, help Kyiv. Kyiv will give these guarantees if you agree, NATO members and Americans, that there will never be a threat to Russian territory from the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine does not need MLRS or air defense, which can hit 200-300 km. Ukraine needs something that will ensure its peace. And then Russia will give security guarantees to Ukraine,” Lukashenko said.
At the same time, he believes that Donbass and the southern regions will not return to Ukraine.
“This is no longer discussed. This could have been discussed in February-March. There live Russian people who were oppressed by the Ukrainians. What for. I do not punish the Poles for the policy that Poland is pursuing towards us. I always say: these are my Poles. We love, respect and appreciate them. And they behave with dignity for the most part. Why was the Russian language banned? Why was it necessary to pursue the policy that Poroshenko and Zelensky pursued within Ukraine? They pushed Ukraine towards war from the inside.
There were internal reasons for Russia to put Ukraine in its place. They insulted the authorities and President Putin. Maybe this is not the reason for the operation, but the background is not good. The main thing is that there were no guarantees of security from the territory of Ukraine for Russia. NATO and the Americans needed a war, and they did everything to create this situation,” Lukashenko concluded.
Political scientist Alexander Kazakov did not agree with Lukashenko.
“You, Alexander Grigorievich, know Vladimir Vladimirovich poorly. And the books that Vladimir Vladimirovich read were not read. For Putin, “denazification of Ukraine” is not a “philosophy,” as you say, but a completely practical military-political task. And yes, supported by philosophical and even religious grounds,” Kazakov wrote in his TG channel.
