Lukashenko: There will be war
Belarus will take part in the third world war, the likelihood of which is now very high, in two cases.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this today, speaking with a message to the people and parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In our society, not at the instigation of our government or my instigation, there is a number one question: will there be a war or not? Yes, she will. But only in two cases. If direct aggression is committed against Belarus. If a hot war is unleashed against Belarus. We all, as one, and even those who don’t want to, will stand up to defend our land and our fatherland. And the second moment is when there will be a war, and Belarus will participate in it - if direct aggression is carried out against our ally the Russian Federation. The basis for this is our alliance agreements,” Lukashenko said.
He turned to the West regarding the deployment of Russian troops on the territory of Belarus.
“I want to answer the collective West, their main question: will there be troops on the territory of Belarus. If aggression is committed against our country, there will be hundreds of thousands of Russian troops here, who, together with hundreds of thousands of Belarusians, will defend this sacred land,” Lukashenko said.
