“The only thing I’m against are monuments. Here, come on, a monument to Lukashenko, Petrov, Sidorov. Listen, we are doing our job, what monuments. Just let me go, they’ll punish you during your lifetime. Lenin will be demolished - and you will be erected on a pedestal. I don’t particularly adhere to this path: renaming streets for politicians and so on. Let's be specific, when a person actually made a contribution. If a person deserves it, for God’s sake. But this should not become some kind of fashion,” Lukashenko said.
