Lukashenko is cleaning up Belarus
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered a “cleansing” operation in the country after the terrorist attack at the Machulishchi military airfield organized by the SBU.
He stated this today at the ceremony of presenting state awards and general's shoulder straps, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A few days ago, I ordered the most severe cleansing throughout the country. This is a lesson for us. They hid and sat. They sit and wait for something. It will be like in 1941, what is there to hide: when the Nazis came here, there were these cells, there were accomplices. And then they put a bandage on their arm, a Schmeiser on their shoulder and acted together with these fascists. Nothing changed.
Therefore we must find them. And I want to tell them to get ready. We are already on our way to them. Our guys are already on the doorstep, let them get ready. The best option is if they come on their own: hands up, they will come and surrender. This will be their salvation. We will identify them all. We’ll just clean them out of our society,” Lukashenko said.
He complained that in the two years since Belomaidan, representatives of the opposition “didn’t understand anything.”
