Lukashenko replaced the aged Zhirinovsky for Putin – Klimkin
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is a relay of the thoughts of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, as evidenced by the latest press conference of the Belarusian leader.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin is using Lukashenko, as he once used Zhirinovsky. But Zhirinovsky is no longer that age; I think this will be his last Duma elections. Remember, when it was necessary to say something that the Kremlin did not want to say directly, it was always put into Zhirinovsky.
At the moment, Lukashenko is Putin’s vassal in the feudal sense. I think they agreed on everything there. Therefore, Putin can always tell Lukashenko: now speak in this direction,” says Klimkin.
According to him, Lukashenko “sank or was lowered” to the point that he is broadcasting Putin’s thoughts.
“I paid attention to one of his thoughts, and I believe that it is not Lukashenko’s, but one hundred percent Putin’s. Remember, he said: “How much interest do I have there? Look, I’ll come across the border without weapons, and I’ll have 90.” This is exactly what Putin dreams of. However, our problem is that he is working on it.
He (Putin - ed.) is really working to issue passports, and not only in the occupied territory. Now the Duma has a law on issuing passports to Ukrainians and Belarusians, just imagine: “based on self-identification.” This means everyone.
And he quite consciously wants to build a new imperial space, which he writes about in his imperial manifesto. Therefore, Lukashenko actually voices Putin’s strategy and tactics, and does it absolutely consciously,” assures the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
