Lukashenko: The West wants to dismember both Ukraine and Belarus
Russia and Belarus will have to solve the problem of preventing the dismemberment of Ukraine.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are unexpected things in Ukraine. We, and you too, should be concerned that Western politicians are already taking steps towards dismembering Ukraine. The Poles are ready to help take back Western Ukraine. This worries us not only from the point of view of today’s security, it is their strategy for western Belarus as well. So we're keeping our ears open. The Ukrainians will have to ask us again to prevent the western part from being separated from Ukraine,” Lukashenko said.
He called the behavior of Polish President Andrzej Duda strange during his recent visit to Kyiv.
“We have a lot of security problems. But we will solve them. We are not afraid of anything. As they said in the old days, our cause is just and sooner or later we will win anyway,” Lukashenko said.
