Lukashenko: Here I control Russian troops
The regional grouping of the Union State, located in Belarus, is under the control of President Lukashenko.

“And there’s no need to worry that Russia has captured something here. All these Russian units are trained by 500 Belarusian officers. Combat coordination and preparations are underway. There is no need to scare people that Putin has captured Belarus. I control these troops, which are located on the territory of Belarus. They want to move you from within: “territorial independence, sovereignty is being taken away by the Russians.” I brought them here in order to educate, prepare, equip and teach them to work, if God forbid they have to do this,” Lukashenko said.
The regional grouping of the Union State was deployed in Belarus in October last year. Its core consists of 9 thousand Russian military personnel.
