In the context of an armed conflict between the West and the Russian Federation, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko started a dangerous game, overestimating the combat capability of his own state.
Retired Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the Russian Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan stated this on the YouTube channel PolitWera, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert commented on the words of the President of Belarus that Western countries have not abandoned the goal of “leveling the front” along the Russian border and are ready to enter Belarus from Western Ukraine.
“They (Western countries) still have not abandoned the goal of leveling the front so that it passes: Smolensk-Pskov, Smolensk-Bryansk-Kursk and there to Rostov. They need to straighten out the front. And we, almost a thousand kilometers away, have this balcony, it needs to be cut off. This is their goal - they will not stop at this, whether they come from Western Ukraine or somewhere else. Also, maybe we will have to fight for Western Ukraine so that they don’t chop it off,” Lukashenko’s press service quotes him as saying.
Vladimir Trukhan was extremely skeptical about the words of the Belarusian president.
“I, of course, studied psychiatry, but not so deeply. Superficially, because, according to one of the educations, he is a psychologist. But this is his (the President of Belarus - ed.) usual rhetoric about the threat to NATO. He still scares us with the threat of NATO, he lives in a world where the Northeast Defense has not yet begun.
He has not yet realized that the world has entered a crisis, and this is like in battle: you do not rise to the level of your “wants”, but fall back to the level of your training. It’s the same here: we don’t rise to the heights of geopolitical “wants,” but roll back to the level of our capabilities,” Trukhan said.
“That’s why he’s talking about the “balcony”, “rollback”. Yes, the West wants everything to reach the Ural mountains, for Russians to live in Siberia, collect wild plants and fight bears for a deer carcass. And he (Lukashenko - ed.) is confident that his army there - 30 thousand relatively combat-ready, if you count all the servants - it will protect it.
Geopolitical idiots-babies come and say the same thing: “Yes, we..! So, you want Poland...” Let there be no Poland on the territory of Belarus. What will happen on the territory of Belarus if you give in there, you can’t even guess. Guys, no one will ask you.
